Royal Ascot Day two

Awesome racing yesterday at Royal Ascot. Dad and I watched most of it from his room at my sister’s house in Rehoboth. We can still enjoy racing, something we’ve been doing for 53 years.

He let out a “Wowwww” as Rosallion shifted lanes and shifted gears to win the St James’s Palace. And again when I explained that Asfoora had come all the way from Australia to win the King Charles III. I asked Dad if he wanted to bet, he said he was going to wait for the jump race Thursday. He’s got the form in his hand at the moment.

As for Day two of Royal Ascot, Leovanni upset the Queen Mary and Illinois obliged as the favorite in the Queen’s Vase. The runners roll down to the start for the Duke of Cambridge.

I like Beshtani and Metal Merchant in the Royal Hunt Cup. Two horses who have been on my Racing Post Horse Tracker for a season or two. Come on, Dad, exacta box and you’ll have more bankroll for the Steinman.

By the Numbers

15: Times Secretary of War has been claimed in his 73-start career. The stakes winner is in the third at Mountaineer tonight.
