Monday morning. 47 degrees and raining. No complaints. We need the rain.
Ambled around Whitewood Farm aboard Lemonade Thursday. Cold, wet, but refreshing. Gearing up for our first hunt of the season. Stay motivated, Sean.
Lorraine returned fresh and upbeat after her trip to Turfway Park. Beaten a neck, looked like a head, her fourth runner-up finish in seven starts. She needs to win a race. The question is when? Do we keep going for the winter? Or put her away for the spring? Too many questions to answer that now. Weather here…weather there…10+ furlong races…
We’ll see. Either way, we’re proud of her effort and looking forward to next season. Same goes for all the horses; whether it’s Include It, coming back for his 10-year-old season, or Koru, changing directions for his 4-year-old season. Fun time of the year, resting and dreaming. It won’t be long until the Maryland timber scene, the Iroquois and summer in Saratoga.
Checked on Koru and Jhirsch this morning. They were camped under a tree, rugged up and bracing against the wind and rain. There is nothing better for a horse.

Jhirsch.

Koru.
Bet of the Day.
