42 and windy at 35538 this morning. A wind advisory until 12:15. The generator has kicked on this morning, power lines down somewhere, I’m guessing. Four horses in the front field, hunkering down for the day. Watching Cheltenham, Fairyhouse and a bunch of other European cards. A two-column watch list today. We’ll catch most of them.
One more road trip, about to start packing. The 12 days of Christmas rolls into its 31st day. The Virginia Steeplechase Association party kicked off the festivities, whew, that seems like a long time ago.
Terrible scene in New Orleans. I’ve been at that intersection and probably at that hour. Scary. Senseless. Sad.
