Settling back into a routine in Virginia while our horses travel to Kentucky.

Fresh off a hurdle win at Colonial Downs, Cyber Ninja returns to the flat for a $200,000 allowance race at Kentucky Downs this afternoon. We toyed with the $1 million Bowling Green Gold Cup going 2 1/16 miles at Kentucky Downs Aug. 30 but opted for this. We think we would have finished second behind French-bred, German-based Flatten The Curve. We’ll see if we made the right choice. Jose Ortiz, who guided the son of Arrogate to win on the dirt at Churchill Downs, takes the call for trainer Jack Fisher.
