With a winner on the board at Aiken, Riverdee improved to 3-for-4 in 2026. Sherminator and Pudding Lane contributing to the strong start. After battling weather all winter, we’ll be a little slowly away this year. Nothing at the Carolina Cup Saturday which is typical and a bunch at Green Spring Sunday.
We entered Tuddenham Green, Potus, Ethics, Roja Redemption, Vintage Year, Cool Jet, Rocket One, Zabeel Champion, Cyber Ninja and Welshman Sunday. We have decided to wait with Tuddenham Green but the rest should be ready to go. Just preps, days out, rust brushers.
Once the dust clears and legs are checked from that, we’ll have a better sense of where we are going but spring goals center around Middleburg, Foxfield, Virginia Gold Cup and Iroquois. We’ll unveil a few maidens at Old Dominion. Unfortunately, we’ve got horses piled up in certain divisions (115, N2/1X, novice) and are light in other divisions (maiden timber) which makes it challenging. Interesting with Fair Hill back on the schedule for Memorial Day. That changes the approach a bit.
And, no, Sherminator is not coming to Nashville.
Long season ahead.
