Imported from Great Britain for an American campaign, the son of Poet’s Voice burst onto the scene with two stakes wins in 2023. Trained by Jack Fisher, ridden by Bernie Dalton and managed by Sean for Martin Tedham and Wasdell Properties, Zabeel Champion won the Appleton Stakes on heavy ground and came back two weeks later to win the Noel Laing on firm ground.

Purchased by Riverdee after those wins, the stamina-laden gelding finished fifth in the Grade 2 Temple Gwathmey and third in the Grade 1 Iroquois the following spring.
Zabeel Champion won the Grade 2 Temple Gwathmey for Fisher and jockey Freddie Procter to open his 2026 campaign. Three weeks later, the 9-year-old stormed home to win the Grade 1 Iroquois Steeplechase in Nashville. He leads the earnings race with $210,000.
