New to the team, the 3-year-old son of Hard Spun has long, turf, steeplechasing written all over his pedigree page, his form line and his connection list. Bred by one of the world’s best breeders, Claiborne Farm, the bay gelding made just four starts on the flat, including a third in at Turfway Park and a have-to-see-it-to-believe-it seventh at Kentucky Downs last September while trained by Riley Mott.
Ethics arrived at Jack Fisher’s barn in March, enjoyed a brief freshening in a big field with Ping Pong Champ and came back with two flat starts at Colonial Downs, closing to finish fourth in the second one. Ethics won the Will O’Keefe Memorial Hurdle Stakes at Virginia Fall and tied for champion 3-year-old in 2025.

Our next big thing.
