Back Home

Made it home. That’s about it. Another trip to Cheltenham and another bout with the flu or whatever it is we seem to get every time we travel there. This one doesn’t come with the uncertain dread of 2020, which, actually we came through unscathed. The pall of Covid way back then, something to remember, just for context. This time, it’s just a cold, the flu or some bout of something. We will survive.

Back in the office after a week away from the office. Paperwork. Tasks. Questions. Conundrums. Trying to tick them off. One by one.

As for action, it’s starting to simmer, at least.

De La Cruz enjoyed a day out at Warrenton, went once around in the maiden hurdle. Mission accomplished. Onward to another point-to-point start before thinking about his NSA debut in April. Include It, Potus and Tuddenham Green spun around the Foxhall Farm Cup Team Chase. Include It’s team won again this year. We entered Include It at Piedmont this weekend. Potus and Tuddenham Green will probably go to Green Spring before hitting the NSA circuit. We entered Pudding Lane for the maiden starter at Aiken Saturday. The 4-year-old zipped around Camden on its schooling day (thank you Carolina Cup and team) and should be ready for his seasonal debut.

The short off season is over. Went fast. Now, the long season is about to begin. It seems to go fast, too.

Quote of the Day

“The most important thing is winning.” – Jockey Danny Mullins

Pudding Lane goes to Aiken Saturday.
