As a board member of the Temple Gwathmey Steeplechase Foundation, we were bantering and bandying to raise money for the sport of steeeplechasing. The next thing you know, Tom Garner and I were at the helm of the Jockey’s Circle. With a good deadline and no items, we rallied, the jockeys rallied, our friends rallied. Led by Alissa Norman’s expertise, the silent auction went live this week.
Stable tours, raceday experiences, golfing sessions, subscriptions, wine tastings, memberships, a five-star hotel stay in Scotland…something for everyone.
Bid high. Bid often.
This could be the first annual event if you have any ideas, suggestions or donations for next year. And, Tom and I will be calling/texting/emailing/shouting. Just say yes.
