FRiday

Home after a road trip to Lexington. Tough drive home yesterday. Storms off and on all the way. A white-knuckle drive. Glad to be home.

Royal Ascot wrapping up its Friday card. I’ll nibble at Nightwalker in the King Edward VII.

One day to go. I’ll wade into the Saturday card in a bit.

A little slow for Riverdee this weekend with just Mortal Sin seeing any action. Hopefully. They were off the turf at Laurel today. Sunny day today. Should be OK. Tough post for our 4-year-old but he could score at a big price.

Quote of the Day: “It has been an extraordinary week, and that is all down to the team at home. I stand here and talk to you on camera, but they are the ones up in the mornings, feeding them, riding them, checking them – it’s all the little things all the way through and I can’t thank them enough. The owners are relatively new and this is the second ever horse they have had. They are pretty lucky people.” Trainer Harry Eustace after winning the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup with Time For Sandals.

Bet of the Day: Nobleman in the seventh at Newmarket. 3:25 p.m.
