One to Go

Big week this week for Riverdee. Thanks and congratulations to all our partners.

We hit the Monday double at Colonial Downs. Palio dominated a maiden and Jimmy Dan rallied to win the 115 handicap. Two nice horses. One imported from the British hurdle scene and one reclaimed from the American flat racing scene. Thanks to Ten Strike Racing for trusting our instinct on Jimmy Dan, who’s now 3-for-4 over hurdles. Thanks to Jack Fisher. Perfect rides delivered by Graham Watters.

• Watch Palio win by 14.

• Watch Jimmy Dan win again.

Tuesday, Roja Redemption made his debut for Riverdee, finishing third at Colonial Downs. He’ll improve off that and improve as the distance increases.

Lorraine made her debut for Riverdee at Delaware Park Wednesday, finishing a strong second going 1 1/2 miles on soft turf off a six-money layoff. Not how we drew it up but that’s how racing goes. We entered her for weeks, races didn’t go and we wound up with a big task. She delivered. Nice filly with a big future. Good work Danielle Hodsdon.

Pietrelcina runs today. He’s 3-1 favorite at Laurel. Finish strong.
