One final day at Saratoga before we get on the road. Another season past, another year older. The Saratoga Special finished its 25th season of racing coverage. A lot of words, a lot of races in those 25 years. We’re honored to cover the season, the sport.
Vintage Year ran well at Kentucky Downs Sunday, finishing fourth in a tough allowance race. No excuse, good trip, solid ride, strong effort. The son of Point Of Entry earned $11,700, increasing his 2025 earnings to $94,150. We’ll probably look at the allowance hurdle at the International Gold Cup Oct. 25 as a fall target. Possibly something in between. We’ll see.
We have Cyber Ninja entered at Kentucky Downs Thursday and Pietrelcina entered at Colonial Downs Saturday.
As for me, I’m packing up a house and an office and will be back on the road tomorrow.
Congratulations to Bruton Street, Jack Fisher and Forest Boyce for a lucrative maiden win by The Jackal at Kentucky Downs Sunday. Purchased for $37,000 by Clancy Bloodstock in November, the 5-year-old is now 2-for-2 and earned $138,000.
Watch Vintage Year and The Jackal.
