Riverdee doubled at Shawan Downs Saturday. There is nothing like a good Saturday to make a good Sunday. Free days.
Ethics won his hurdle debut for trainer Jack Fisher and jockey Freddie Procter. The son of Hard Spun settled off the pace on the inside, jumped fluently, split horses coming to the final hurdle and drew off to score by 3 1/4 lengths.
Cyber Ninja improved to 2-for-2 in the allowance hurdle. Trained by Jack Fisher and ridden by Graham Watters, the son of Arrogate tracked the leaders, took over and turned back St James The Great to win by a length.
Serifos made his hurdle debut, finishing fifth in a solid effort off a long break. Queens Empire returned from his Maryland Hunt Cup debacle to finish third in the timber stakes. Potus was hit the only dose of bad luck, being brought down in the maiden timber. All the horses and jockeys were OK.
On to Foxfield Sunday. Just one entry. Cool Jet in the Grade 3 feature.
